You can use the application to produce a custom menu, or simply use word pad or note pad on the PC to create a text file with the required lines in it, unfortunately the VS7 specific commands like MapShare, Custom Icons, Help Me etc will not be made available as these functions are not called in the normal way - Mike |

hi all
managed to customise my 520 menu's
some of the items cannot be altered or even included but they a settings you can perform with the default and then paste in your own revised edition. s it works well if like me you don, need lots of the items.

Hi mike
can you give an example of the text file you mentioned
In particular with regard to items like speaker preferences and anything else that menu builder will not handle

If you've already used menubuilder, you can open that in Notepad to see the text.
Mike (I think) has posted a complete list of the menu entries recently, but I'm damned if I can find it now, and it's only bookmarked at home. |

If you remove the tomtom.mnu file from the SdkRegistry folder you will see the full version 7 software menu which includes the Map Share, Custom Cursors and Help Me icons/ functions. It is these new functions that cannot be called on a text based custom menu.
I do have a list of menu commands but have not posted it on the site, I have seen similar posted by others though The last menu text I submitted was to overcome the shortfalls of the One Third Edition. Any of the version 6 menu builder will work, just remember you will loose the new version 7 specific menu options - Mike |
