Hi there, I have memory map OS5 and have been plotting routes and tracks from my pda/gps. Is there any way of exporting my gps data (tracks ets) to someone who is running arcview. I think they usually import shp files? Though I must admit I don't know a lot about this but I really need to be able to send this data to them.
Thanks. |

backontrack,
You will need a Proffesional Licence from Memory-Map in order to import or export .SHP files

Aha, so with that license is it as simple as to export the file as a shp file from MM and then import it as a SHP file in Arc view? The track will view the same? Can it then be manipulated in arcview? |

Right Click on the Track and select SAVE AS. Change the file type to .SHP. I dont know how it displays once imported into another program though _________________ Garmin Etrex H

the earlier advise from Mortiki is correct.
I cannot see why the track would not display the same within ArcView, but I am unsure as to whether you can actually edit teh file once in teh software.
Thanks
