@vibeone.
I've got a better idea for you. If you have a look at what you have to do to qualify for free membership to pgpsw you will probably find that if you find a T site from which you can get the latest database, report it to pgpsw you might get TWO months free membership.
Or try Ebay for a month's free membership.
There you go. Free database. Not guilt No need to bung pgpsw £2 either
No £19 isn't a lot in the grand scheme of things, but having just bought a new car, and trying to move into a new (rented) flat, money is tight, and more than that - im being very very careful with my money right now in general. Things like this don't help.
As for reporting torrents... lets get a dose of realism here (but let me point out that I'm not condoning pirating by stating this)
* PGPSW are in dreamland if they think their dodgy seeds are doing anything to stem the flow - I've downloaded a latest copy between these posts and its fine, and appears to be fully upto date (Admittedly this is guesswork, but based on latest roadworks with cameras etc, its up to date)
* PGPSW are in dreamland if they think removing the monthly fee will make any difference whatsoever - and this is the important thing for me. I understand their thinking, but basically.. they are wrong. I'll make a bet with you all now - the number of torrents will stay level - no more, no less either by removing the monthly sub.
*I can report every single torrent I find - but the wording is such that it will be impossible for me to ever get credit for it.
One thing that did confuse me though - whats the ebay connection? Is this just dodgy as well or am I missing something?
I'll have a look now.
But I want to be honest about what I'm doing, so I'll state it here clearly, and hopefully you'll realise that I don't mean any harm - and won't be me
* I have the latest database from a torrent file
* I will pay £2 happily, if a mod wants to PM me a link and/or a paypal account name to do this, I will do it right away.

Plenty of users here have received lifetime memberships, there is no con. There are conditions but they are not onerous.
Your previous subscription history shows you have spent £18 on downloads in the last 12 months, I fail to see how you cannot see the value in the annual subscription, especially as reporting a site may mean that is the last subscription you ever have to pay! _________________ Darren Griffin
OK, firstly, that is quite a surprise - £18! but even so, as stated, things have changed, and I'd rather pay - for example, £2 now, and then update in the future when I'm in a better position.
I'm not suggesting there is a con, just that we are talking torrents, and I can give you a big long list of torrent sites, and direct links to torrent files, but is it really any good to you? It's certainly not gonna get me a lifetime subscription!
The daft thing is, I'd rather pay £2 a month and support the updates and the site, than have a lifetime subscription anyway.
I will however have a read though what information you need re: pirate locations, and see if I have any that may help.
I know a lot of the PDA version's of pirated TomTom software comes complete with the hard work of the users here as well.
I feel for you, but I'm not sure how you can ever stop it.
