|
|
Since installing a new WE map the TT has been asking me if I want to arrive at a particular time.
It is driving me mad!
It did ask me once if I want to carry on being asked this and I told it I didn't but it still does it - so I must have hit the wrong answer, I guess.
So how on earth do you turn this off? There is no menu or setting option that offers this facility.
Anyone know?
Cheers

I think you goto...
Change Preferences
Status Bar Preferences
Then untick the Show Leeway To Arrival Time.
From memory that's how I think I did it. |

Change preferences/ Status bar preferences and untick the "Arrival Time" and "show leeway to arrival time" check boxes this should stop it asking stupid questions - if it does ask again make sure you answer correctly.
I find that setting off early generally means I am on time or slightly early, if I am late due to hold ups then there is little I can do about it - Mike |

Mike
Arrival time is NOT checked in status bar options (never bother with it) and I do not have a "show leeway to arrival time" box at all - never seen one of those.
Thanks for trying...

What device and what software version are you running, the leeway question should be on page two of the status bar preferences menu page - you haven't got a custom menu installed per chance have you? - Mike |

PS Actually I have got a custom menu - but only customised to change order/pages that options are on (used TomTom Menu Builder)
I am sure I do have all menu options available -will re-check via TomTom Menu Builder that I do. But TTMB does not let you change things within options so I suspect this is not the problem.

Connect the unit to the PC and use Windows Explorer to re-name the TomTom.mnu file in the SdkRegistry folder to OLD_TomTom.mnu then re-boot the device, it will now have the full menu displayed.
Try again to disable the leeway check box then re-connect to the PC and re-name the OLD_TomTom.mnu file to TomTom.mnu to re-enable your menu file - Mike |

Done that (had to "show ALL menu options" option before I got a status bar preferences option) - but there is still no second page of status bar options (i.e. no "leeway" option). I've never seen such an option before, either. (Bear in mind it is a tt500 - I assume 6.140 is a pretty current version)

The Option is on Page 7 of 7 of Change Preferences.
The Option is called, in your case, Do not ask arrival time, and if it has a Red Cross on it, tap the Icon to remove the Red Cross and the Option will say Ask arrival time.
When it's like that you will not be asked again. _________________ Richard

Thanks - that sorted it. You know, I've had this thing 2 years and I cannot remember EVER seeing that menu option before!
