|
|
Was using my 720 earlier in the week and was on a phone call via my 720 when all of a sudden I lost the call, tried re-dialling and they couldn't hear me and I couldn't hear them. Also, when trying to navigate to a spoken address, the microphone cursor in the top right hand corner stays yellow instead of turing to green whenever it hears a noise.
I've also tried the reset button.
Anyone know what to do apart from taking it back for a refund?
Thanks in advance. |

I've got it working, don't ask me how though.
I copied everything from the 720 to my hard drive on my computer, I then "Reset Factory Settings" which meant I lost all my map changes, I then deleted everything from the 720 and then I copied all the files back onto my 720 and abracadabra the voice recognition is now working.
Anyone know why? |

I had that about a week after I got my 720. I put it down to copying my MapSettings.cfg from a v6 machine, but that could have been a red herring. I think I cured it with a "return to factory settings" and it hasn't done it again since. |

Well I went out to work last night, and when I tried to use the voice recognition it wasn't working, the microphone in top right hand corner stayed yellow.
Anyone know to fix it?, I've already tried the reset factory settings. |

hi,
do you have a SD card in the slot?
have you tried taking it out?
i had voice input issues, memory card out seems to work more consistently for me.
hope that helps?

Thanks for that, it worked.
I turned on my 720, voice recognition wasn't working, swithed off the 720 I then took out the SD card switched the 720 back on and pressed the reset button. Turned off the 720 and re-inserted the SD card, turned the 720 back on again and all was working.
Thanks again.

I lost the voice recognition on the 720. I tried a hard reset and restored the backup but it still wouldn't fix the issue. I didn't have an SD card so the solution here didn't help.
I've now returned it to the store for a full refund, after numerous problems with the device not charging, hands free calling issues and losing PIO warnings.
I'm just glad I never sold my trusty 910 in hurry |
