With the database as loaded in my Garmin, I am noticing camera alerts occur every few minutes, except for motorways. I assume the reason is that at some time or other, mobile cameras have been placed on nearly every bridge, underpass, layby and countless other unmarked vantage points on our main road network.
Although these have been diligently recorded and reported, the vast majority are not actually present for any one journey. However, the alerts are so frequent that I am finding the whole business quite tedious and unrewarding.
Am I alone in thinking that the project has run its course, or should I be using my satnav and the database in a different way? |

You mean 'uninstall' right?
At the end of the day, would you rather be forewarned or caught? _________________ Darren Griffin |

I use the mobile camera database but not the PMobile database, and my sat nav doesn't go off every few minuites. If there is no camera there, it must be a mobile location, try deleting/disabling the PMobile cameras, and see if you can live with it like that. Can you configure the sat nav, not to give audible warnings, or not for the PMobile cameras? _________________ Audi A3 Sline sat nav |
