I always use PGPSW POIs for my device consequently I would like to remove the pre-installed safety cam POIs that came with the device. I am having a bit of trouble identifying where they are actually installed. I know thay are on the device and not on the SD card and they do not appear in the POI folder in Smart ST desktop programme.
Any useful guidance suggestions please? _________________ Gee-Pee

Hi Geepee. Have a read of this little gem.
Due to a problem with recent navman products they seem to leave ghosts of the poi on the device when you try to remove them. This is one fix that seems to work. _________________ Dom

Thanks 'mostdom', I have now read that. Good advice. That, though is not quite my problem. I do overwrite my new POIs when I install them and they all work ok - the PGPSW ones, that is!
My problem is with the POIs pre-loaded by Navman before purchase and for which you can subscribe if you so wish. They are perfectly good but I choose to use the PGPSW ones...personal preferance and all that!
I just cannot identify them if I go to the device software to manually delete them. (Always backing them up first, of course!)
Just wondered if anyone had done that successfully so that I can follow the same route. _________________ Gee-Pee

Can't help you with that! Just figured that the poi's may have occupied the the same location on the device. Worth a try anyway! _________________ Dom
