i suggest you find Dennis or MaFt and let them have a chat they would want to know where the file came from as there is a lot of piracy about at the moment
however if you register and subscribe £19 for the year you will get the proper data base and all the complete files you need, i dont think anyone will help to put this file on until its legitimacy has been confirmed,
i dont know your needs but i have found the database here fantastic and much better than others and im told better than tomtoms itself |

I'm guessing that this is one of the licensed copies that are sold by PGPSW approved resellers? _________________ Jock

Assuming all is legit, the TomTom FAQs "sticky" topic in the TomTom section of the forum is a good place to start. It has links to instructions for installing the PGPSW database as well as the ESSENTIAL backup-making instructions and also how to remove the TomTom own-brand camera data if that is installed too. |

So have you got it installed or do you still need help?
(and why are all your own posts quotes? ) |

| Can you clarify where you got that 2nd quote from? Are you suggesting that Handtec is (or was) not a PGPSW approved reseller? _________________ Jock

I've tidied up letterboxbill's posts to remove all the unnecessary quoting.
Handtec are licensed to supply a trial copy of our database with new hardware so there is no issue there.
It is supposed to be an up to date release but as I do not know when you bought your GO I have no way of knowing if the July database was the most recent at the time of your purchase.
I'm not entirely clear what your problem is but if you email me the file Handtec sent to you, to darrenATpocketgpsworld.com I will send you a more up to date version to trial. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Can you say if you have tried following the instructions in those FAQs I linked to. If you have, can you say at what step you start having problems?
(and your posts are still all in quotes for some reason, which makes it quite hard to work out when it is YOU talking. Unless you are quoting someone else, you can just type in the box to get normal text). |

Thanks for your reply Andy P2002 I folowed your Instructions and managed to download the speed camera files off the email I got from Handtec. It is now in the Tom Tom but does not have a warning like other POI ,It comes on the screen as a red square with the words pocketgps usa sc after it, does this mean it is out of date,or is there something I have not done. |
