tt6 nokia n73 newbie hopefully not a dumb question

tt6 on my nokia all works but when i connect the phone to the computer tom tom home wont recognise it.
i cannot see a way of telling tt home its connected, is there a way or am i trying to do the impossible.
tt home came on a disk with the nav software on a sd card ive checked the destructions and im now stuck

I can't get TT Home to see my Treo either. The only way I can use TT Home is to remove the SD card from the phone and plug it into my laptop, TT Home sees it automatically then.

Well the good news is it's not you! This is a restriction of the Nokia itself which requires its own PC Suite software to access the card.

To use HOME with TomTom installed on the n73 you need to use a card reader. Pop the memory card out, insert into the card reader and connect to your PC and HOME will happily detect it and you can then update etc as normal.
