|
|
Hi, first time posting on here not sure if I am in the right section! Anyway I have just got a Tomtom go 720, charged it up and turned it on. I then followed all the instructions and got to a point where I am on the main menu page of Tomtom home. When I click "Operate my go" I am told that Tomtom needs to download a new file, when I attempt to do this I am told the file is not available therefore i cannot use it. Please help |

Your question is probably better off in the TomTom section of the forum (CLICK HERE to go there). In fact it might have been answered there already, try using the "search" feature.
I'm afraid I don't have an answer for you. My installation said the same thing, but just went ahead and downloaded the file it needed without any intervention from me.
What version of Home are you using? If 1.5 or 1.6, you could try v2, but install it in a seperate folder, so you can keep the earlier one too as many people prefer it. |

I had a similar issue, when in home and tried to click on operate my go I kept getting an error message, then I remembered in one of the other forum threads it recommended disabling bluetooth and its worked fine since.
so it might be worth double checking that bluetooth is disabled when connecting tom home. |

Please excuse a simpleton question here, but have you actually logged in - maybe downloads don't happen unless you are logged into your account? _________________ Dennis
