Great little utility. Makes everything so much easier. I was just wondering how to access the greyed out features (I have donated).
Many thanks. |

This might be a stupid question, but how do you unlock the "sort by camera type and speed limit" option?
I don't have a paypal account but will set one up if I have to. |

I presume that Ash decided to drop the voice support option he had introduced in the Beta versions, when 2.5 was released. I'm sure there was a very good reason, but I was wondering why, as "it seemed a good idea at the time"! ?? |

Nope, it's still in there, under Sort by camera type and speed limit - have a read through the help file... |

I have a problem with Sort by camera type and speed limit - it's always greyed out and unselectable. I'm running Camera Manager 2.5 - downloaded a couple of nights ago _________________ Red Squirrel

I may be being really stupid here. I am pretty sure I have read through the help files properly, but I cannot get the mp3 voice files to work with the speed camera warnings - I still get the "bongs". I have the unlocked version of camera manager (thankyou Ash), I have selected "sort camera by type and speed", I have downloaded the mp3 files to the poi directory on my pc and I have run poi loader using the latest updates from PGPSW.
I have a nuvi 250, so perhaps that is not compatible with the mp3 files? Or is it because I have only tried to see if the voice warnings work in simulate mode? I have not actually tried this when driving yet.
I appreciate any help and am sorry if this has been answered elsewhere. I just couldn't find it! |

Does the 250 play mp3s at all? If not, then they don't tend to support the mp3 alerts either. |

Ahhh! That would be it then. It does not have a built in MP3 player that I can tell. I assumed that since it gave spoken directions that it would be able to given the spoken warnings of speed cameras as well - oh, well "bongs" it is.
Many thanks for your help. |

My streetpilot 2720 doesnt play mp3 files (bummer) so I dont ,much as I like it and want to, use Ash's great little utility.
But it can use .wav files so I have kept an old Beta version of POI loader that allows the use of .wav files .
You win some you lose some . I do have spoken (.wav) sounds but cant use Ash's utility _________________ Asus Zenfone 2 twin sim, Garmin Zumo 550, 660 and pocketgps speed camera database

Download the MP3 voice prompts (using the link in the help file), convert them to WAV fromat - then drop them into you POI directory |

An excellent program but I can't get the mp3 files to work. I have a new Nuvi 310 so it has mp3 capability. I have downloaded the latest versions of POI Loader and Camera Manager. It has downloaded the Pocket GPS database. I have added my own mp3 files with the same names as in Ash's mp3 files and put them into the same upload file and then used POI Loader. So I seem to have done it correctly except I still get the 'dong' rather than the mp3 warning. What am I doing wrong? Should the mp3 names be the same as the gpx files or the same as the pocketgps files??

OK have now run Ash's camera manager with the old beta POIloader ,using .wav files instead of mp3 files and woohoo I have spoken warnings and can now set the time for the warnings as well.
Does it get any better than this
Yup a drink for me too please
