Since I've changed all the Speed Camera POIs to not be displayed on the 3D map the screen is much smoother when moving. The only thing I've noticed now is that when the direction arrow changes colour as you pass the turn there's a slight pause (0.5 to 1 second) where the map freezes. It catches up again once it's changed to the arrows "normal" state.

At first I thought this was because I was using custom map colours, but it does it with the standard ones as well. It even does it when the colours are the same for highlighted and normal.

Does anyone else have this problem? Is there any way to fix it, other than adding the POIs back onto the map so the jerkiness does not make the pause noticeable..

I heard some Nokia Phone owners had problems when lost of POIs were enabled which was a resource issue, sounds like your P550 is struggling as well for some reason.

No, this is a different problem. I don't have any POI enabled to show on the screen and the map movement is very smooth. It's only when I take a turn and the direct arrow changes colour that it paused for a split second.
