Just registered and I'm about to subscribe to download the camera database.
But, just noticed on the page that it said TomTom Go and TomTom Navigator. I have a TomTom One, so is this the same/covered?
And if it is, is there any specific advice anyone can give me about downloading/using? Or do I just follow the instructions?
Also, some one gave me a CD with camera sites that I have loaded. Seems OK, needs updating, but should I delete it before using the one from this site or just leave it?
TIA |

All TomTom Devices use the same basic method of POI and their warnings. So you can use the Files on the ONE without a problem.
There are comprehensive Links to instructions on the FAQs Page.
It would be better to have only Files from one source, as otherwise you might get duplications, and that could be very confusing.
Don't forget to do a Full Backup before doing anything. Just in case something goes wrong, and you need to Restore it.
Please Windows Explorer for the Backup. Explorer is good for adding the POI Files also. _________________ Richard

Thanks Oldboy. So you don't suggest using the TomTom Home software for backup and file removal? |

I think the general consensus is a big NO, as things are at the moment.
It seems the majority only use HOME for updates, etc. to software and maps. _________________ Richard

OK, thanks. I'll look at using Windows to perform a backup. |
