Since no one else has mentioned it....
Garmin's Webupdater and POI Loader are now available in beta format for Macintosh computers.
For the first time I've able to update my i3 with the latest firmware, and be able to purchase the speed camera database.
A note of advice for Mac users - following download of the speed camera .zip file, when you first try to unzip it a warning message appears stating that this process has failed. The remedy is to hold down the mouse and ctrl key at the same time - then select 'open with' and select 'stuffit deluxe'. |

And it works quite well. I just picked up the 610T from Comet for £189 ex display and both the web updater and POI uploader worked well. POI uploader needed patience - could do with some status notification but worked well. |

Works great!
I always resented having to boot up my work laptop to update the i3. Now I can do it on my Mac with none of that Windows unpleasantness.
Full marks, Garmin. |
