I fully understand your reasons for doing this, and £19 is nothing for anyone using it regularly.
But I'm unhappy personally as I only drive in the UK for one week per year in the autumn and usually subscribe for a month in September to get the latest update.
The rest of any driving I do outside of Guernsey is in Europe and I get the European database from POI Handler for £2 for a month's subscription. Next year I'll give its UK database a try, although I doubt it's anything like as good as yours.
I know I'm in a very small minority and don't expect you to change anything for me, but I've had my whinge. _________________ TT Go Essential |

Your £19 a year PGPSW subscription will also get you the European database too. Be the first to submit a new camera and you'll get a free lifetime subscription (once it's been verified)

I didn't think your European database was very comprehensive. But I haven't looked at it for a couple of years now so perhaps it's improved. I may be back!! _________________ TT Go Essential |

Its growing but the more people use / contribute to it the better it'll become. |

It's not yet as good as the UK one but the more reports we get the better it will become and it is improving rapidly.
Of course the bonus is that as a result, at the moment there is a very much greater chance of qualifying for lifetime subscription if you get reporting the continental camera sites! _________________ Darren Griffin |

Maybe that fact needs shouting from the rooftops? |

Indeed, one unfortunate downside to the timing of this subscription change is that it should have co-incided with the recent expanded free membership criteria. Seems many people are not aware how much easier it is now to get free membership. Sure something's been taken away, but something's also been given back, albeit a month ago. |

Fantastic for £19 a year I've just gone from monthly to annual so I'm happy, just a little disappointed as NO new update since the 20th August thats been over a month now. I've never seen it this long since a update, so if i was a monthly subscriber I would be a bit off. But other than that fantastic website and great FREE POI's so I don't know what people are complaining about?

As punishment for daring to take a holiday MaFt has been burning the midnight oil and a release should be ready later today. _________________ Darren Griffin |

it'll be ready in about 3 hours! been away for a week and had a MASSIVE back-log to get through!
however, bear in mind that all monthly subscribers will have had at least one download anyway - we never make any promises to do more anyway.

If you have traced some of these people and banned them why not take them through the legal system or would this not be cost effective. Oh and if I was to get a second Device for the wife would my subscription cover her or would it cost me another £20. |
It would I fear be far too expensive, that's not to say we won't. I have one individual who is very close to becoming our test case |
I wonder if there might be a legal person within the membership who might be prepared to help with this or at least advise the team and possibly help keep any costs down _________________ Andy

The trouble is that some people are so tight that if they qualified for free membership they might be tempted to request a refund for the remainder of their 'paid period'
...yet, the very same people probably eat and drink out all the time without giving a second thought to how much that is costing each time, never mind over the course of a year _________________ Andy

If there is we'd welcome some guidance on what if anything we ought to be doing to stop those whom we know are sharing the database. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Oooh like those who subscribed for £2 and then wanted us to mail them a receipt so they could claim it as an expence! After PayPal and the VAT man take their cut if we were to mail out a receipt we'd have nowt left! _________________ Darren Griffin |
