Hi, Has anyone had any trouble with the TMC reciever and their 720, try as I might the 720, just shows the TMC scanning and never locks onto a transmission.
Any help would be appreciated.

Have a look at the part number of your RDS - TMC it is on a small white flag near the connector, if it ends in anything other than 013 then you should contact TomTom and request a replacement. The new receiver (ending with 013) is much better in the UK where previous iterations of the receiver have failed to work very well at all, give em a ring on 0845 161 0009 - Mike |

Hi,
I have looked at the white tag, and it has the number 4V00.000, so I guess I need to cal Tom Tom.
Strange though, I only bought it on Tuesday from Maplin, so maybe I should go there first.
Anyway, thanks for the info - - - much apprciated.

As far as I know you can only get the new receiver directly through TomTom support at this time, it is not for retail sale as yet in this country - Mike |

Well I now have a V3 TMC, and it works a whole lot better. Guess the only complaint now is the low tranmission levels in the UK....
