Does anyone know what the likely hood is of Tom Tom releasing an Apple OSX version of Home 2.0? In the past have they been fairly quick on releasing an OSX version of their Home software? I'm just hoping they aren't considering dropping OSX support on this new version as it was a primary reason for me getting a Tom Tom.
I've ordered a Tom Tom One Edition 3 and now it seems I won't be able to take advantage (or at least try out to see if it's any good) the new map share facility.
Dooooooooooh!

No, it's not there...
Here is a link to the "Home" version install instructions:

Maybe the site admin should add this to the FAQ forum page and the red/green compatibility table on the download page? |

Those instruction must be for Home v1.x, because I dont get the same screens when I open Home v2 and I dont get the extra content folder under the preferences section. Is Home v2 not supported yet ? If not I assume I can still add them manually using the ov2 files right ? |

Those instructions are certainly for Home v1.x
I had assumed there must be something similar on Home 2 but after a quick scour round its "features" it looks like they have tied it up real tight to only load what THEY want you to load. The POIs section for example seems ONLY for their ones.
There might be a sneaky way round it, but I didn't see it yet.
However the way that they let you load mp3s and documents involves dragging files from your computer into the explorer window of the TomTom's memory or SD card (that it kindly opens for you) , so you're only doing what you'd do in Explorer anyway!
Just use Explorer and to h*ll with Home!
No wonder those who've played with Home 2 extensively, hate it so much! |

I really cannot understand why people are continuing to use Home 2.0 when it clearly is as much use as a rubber beak to a woodpecker. Explorer is by far the simplest and easiest method of transferring information to your unit,as has been stated so many times. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2699lmt
