|
|
This is my first post so please be gentle with me
I've tried downloading POI's from the database on this site. I save the folder to my desktop but when I click on the folder i get the message that the zipped folder is invalid.
Can anybody tell me how to get this to work?
Thanks

How many POIs are you downloading? Which category?
Are you doing them as separate categories? Or combining the sub-categories?
Have you tried ticking Show Link? _________________ Richard

Where are you having the problem?
Can you see the TomTom as an extra Drive in Explorer?
If you list what you are doing, and where you are having a problem, we'll be able to help you some more. _________________ Richard

Thanks for being so patient.
I'm using TomTom Navigator 5 on my iPaq
I go to my computer, find the PDA, then the SD card and try to copy and paste the POI files into the folder on the SD card that contains the GB map but when i right click to paste the bitmap and ov2 files i don't get the option to paste. i've tried switching the lock switch at the side of the SD card to make sure it wasn't locked but that didn't make any difference. |

It could be that ActiveSync, under Vista, is not behaving.
Do you have a Card Reader?
If so, it is easier to just use that and copy/paste the files with Explorer. It won't need to use ActiveSync. _________________ Richard
