Is it possible, even using 3rd party software, to record the route I have just taken?
Not use the route TomTom gives me when suggesting a route but my actual route taken.
Thanks,

TomTom does not support any option to save routes, even though it would be a killer option!
My employer uses expensive Garmin GPS products which allow you to plot routes on their map software from your PC, and then upload them as required to your GPS device.
I would love to be able to save routes on my TomTom 720, as current roadworks on my regular route means I have to put in 'Avoid Part of Route' six times in order to plan the best route.
Because I have the TT Traffic subscription, this ensures I can see any traffic delays on my preferred route before I travel. |

I'm after something more that will enable me to look back on the route I took when I get home.
On the TomTom PocketPC version it was inbuilt (Record Trip - or something like that).

It has been widely discussed before, but I don't know if anyone is using it with a n20. The warning about the on-screen keyboard seems a little worrying, but it seems that the setup file can be edited externally, so that may not be a problem. Make sure you have a full Windows Explorer backup before you start! Please let us know how you get on! _________________ Jock

ok - that failed.
Had to downgrade TomTom Home back to v1 to install the app (Or any from that site).
All had the same issue for me no matter what config.txt edits I made, all with garbled screens.
So back to square one.
Anyone with any other ideas I can try........

I'd persevere with Tripmaster...
Contact the author of the prog with any problems, he's very helpful. I think he has a contact address on the website, or he hangs out on the yourNAV forums. |
