Fixed v Mobile (Free subscription question)

Maybe someone can clear this question up for some of the newer members who may be looking for free subscription to the Camera Database when submitting new cameras.

I understand that free subscription is only offered to people who submit a fixed camera first (I already have a free subscription, so this is not a rant). Regarding DS2 / DS3 sites are these classes as fixed for this purpose?

Technically they are a fixed location as the strips are permanently placed into the road with the little grey post near to them.

Or are we referring to fixed cameras being "Actual fixed cameras in a specific location" as opposed to a fixed loction which could possibly have a camera in it?

Does that make sense?

mobile submissions have qualified for lifetime membership since 10th june this year so it doesn't really matter now...!
