|
|
I've purchased a One UK & ROI about 6 months ago. Now I am planning a trip to Madrid. I see the TomTom Spain map takes 302Mb on device, by home is reporting that my "one" device has only 97Mb free.
I realise that I could erase UK map, POI, etc, but the sum of all loaded files and spare space seems to be only 237Mb.
Do I need to buy a bigger SD card? If I do, what size? If I buy a suitable size, do the applications and files transfer easily using TomTom home?
Thanks to all in anticipation of replies,
Richard |

You would be better off getting a new SD Card, and keeping the current one locked away, knowing that at least it will work.
SD Cards are at a reasonable cost right now, so I would consider perhaps a 1GB one. This would handle the two Maps you are interested in at the moment, and have spare space to cope if you decided you wanted another.
Before you start anything, I would recommend that you have a read of the relevant links on the FAQs Page. For a start try 1, 2, 8 and 11. _________________ Richard

I would support the 2Gb SD card route! Still quite cheap and it gives you the option of adding further maps next time you travel. But, if you think it likely you may need another European country soon, look at the cost of the "Western & Central Europe" map. It may be a cheaper than two separate country maps.
Don't be tempted by the "Western Europe" map. It's a cut down version to fit a 1 GB card and has a lot of small street detail missing in certain areas. _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)
