Has anyone else bought this?
Mine arrived this morning, and I'll be if I can get my 520 to mount on the damn thing. The square mount seems to be too thick for the 520
Anybody else had this problem?

Have you tried comparing it to your original windscreen sucker mount to see if it the same size _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2699lmt

Fits mine all right but you need to have the mounting plate turned so that the 2 mounting screws on the front are horizontal. If you have them vertical they foul the casing before the square plate has fully engaged. _________________ Graham.

Are these windscreen mounts and are they active or passive?
Where from?
I had a Brodit mount for my TTGO300 in my Porsche Boxter but I was never very happy with it. I could never angle the thing down enough to eliminate reflections and as it was low down on the centre console you had to take your eyes completely off the road. I find that the windscreen mount supplied with the 520 is almost perfect. It would be perfect if it was active.
Sorry, but this doesn't help you with your problem. If others fit it looks like you're going to have to take a file to it or swap it. _________________ Bazzza

At the moment they are passive mounts, an active holder is on the cards though so just wait if you need this capability.

The Brodit web site can be found Here although I would check out the DSL web site Here for a UK supplier.
If you cannot be bothered waiting for a true active mount and don't mind carving up your Home Dock you can see what I have done on this Page - Mike |

This man deserves a badge for spotting the newbie mistake I made.
Thanks all. |

Is this for definite, Mike?
I read it somewhere on the forums and have been repeating it myself, but haven't actually found any evidence of it from Brodit themselves. |
