Apparently TT has been inundated with Emails, more than likely complaints about the 720s and TTH2. So may take a little longer than normal though I would of thought that would have been an automated response.

It's been nearly 2 years since I bought my traffic plus account, so I can't be sure, but I don't think there is a download. Just enable traffic on your TT?

As I say, it's been a while since I had to do this, so could be wrong Embarassed

I think sandgeek is right. If I remember don't you set up an account password user name and then dwon load it via the TT.

As has been pointed out, there is no physical 'download' if you login to your MyTomTom account on their website you should now see Traffic iis available under 'My PLUS Services' although just trying on my account I got 'The TomTom PLUS section is currently unavailable due to maintenance. Our apologies for the inconvenience. Please try again later'.

All you need to do is enable Traffic on your device and enter your My TomTom Username and Password. If you have a paired phone with data access then it will fire up and poll for traffic data.

The TT Traffic site has been down for several days.

I think there were problems, so they took the site down, as it took 10 days to swap my account from a faulty 720.

To be honest TT's cameras are garbage and not up to date. The cameras on this site are far superior and are updated on a very regular basis.

This is a little bit OT, but I can't get a straight answer from the TT site. Does TT, or do they not, support the traffic feature in the US? Some parts of the site say no, some say yes.....

Thanks folks!

This thread was very helpful to me - thanks all.
Initially I couldn't subscribe to Traffic because the PLUS site has been down for days but this morning it seemed to work.
Got the receipt email that stated I'd receive instructions in another email later on. Nothing arrived.
Then I read this thread and realised that nothing will ever arrive so I logged on to my Tomtom account online, went to the 'My Traffic' page where details are given on how to activate your subscription. You need to go to page 7 of the Tomtom preferences and edit your Tomtom plus account details there. Mine had the correct email address but wrong password for some reason. Then it all worked fine! Very Happy

The stupid thing I did was to pay for the years subscription straight away instead of using up the months free trial first Sad

I think I'm right in saying that if you activate your trial after paying, it should extend the subscription by one month.

It's been a while though Wink

I tried to activate my free trial on my 720, which I purchased at the weekend. I sent an email to TomTom as I was having problems with the activation. This is their reply ........
