|
|
Hi, This is my first post and hoping to get this long suffering problems sorted.
I have paid for UK maps via my Tom Tom account which has the correct device code registered to my IPAQ 6910. When trying to download via Tom Tom home it firstly tells me that the device cannot be linked.
Tom Tom support asked me to do CTRL F8 which does allow me to download and install the maps. This I have now successfully done. I then got the activation code from TTcode but when I open Navigator 6 I can't see the maps and no request is made to put in the code? I can see the folder with maps on my SD card.
Please Help! |

When you say you can't see the maps, have you actually tried switching to them? _________________ Tim |

Tim,
Thanks for the response. Yes, When I try and switch to the newly 'installed' maps in Navigator 6, they are not showing up for selection. Only my two existing maps are (London & Calais).

Have a read of This Page pay attention to para 6 as I think this is the most probable cause of your problem, the city maps you have will be on the device in main memory, the newer map downloaded is much larger so will be on a memory card? or seperate memory partition - Mike |

Mike,
Excellent. That did the trick. I had Navigator 6 on my PDA but re-installing through my SD seemed to link the downloaded maps to the Nav Software. Thanks very much. Have been trying to get this fixed for weeks.
Cheers,
Brian. |
