Someone please help me, i've used this forum to learn how to ceate poi's, ive followed various instructions step by step and im still having problems.
Ive created .asc files in wordpad using the following format:
52.041421,-0.778004,"Comet (Milton Keynes)"
55.481774,-4.611521,"Comet (Ayr)"
53.478695,-2.124736,"Comet (Ashton)"
53.481114,-2.949842,"Comet (Aintree)"
51.130075,0.903963,"Comet (Ashford)"
57.148916,-2.082304,"Comet (Aberdeen)"
51.820887,-0.809994,"Comet (Aylesbury)"
obviously saved them as .asc, then coverted them using WINOV2 (latest version) its produced the ov2 file and bmp file, ive also opened them using poiedit so i know that they are being read.
Ive uploaded them to my tomtom i can see them installed in the right folder (Uk maps..etc) but my unit wont read them (they wont even appear in the poi catogorys) ive tried turning the unit on and off many times but they still dont appear.
what am i doing wrong somebody please help, thanks

is it possible to have too many poi's i have tons of space free ???
Indeed it is, it's not a space issue, TomTom has a limit on the number of POIs that can be installed, if you exceed this limit then symptoms such as you experience start occurring, i.e. loaded POIs not appearing in the lists etc.
What version of TomTom are you using, each version has different POI limits? _________________ Darren Griffin
