Hi,
Can someone enlighten me?
The packaging for the One XL and x20's show a rather nice addition to the traffic bar on the right hand side... unlike my Pocket PC version 6, it shows an estimation of the time between you and the incident, a little more detail about the incident and the expected delay... All without having to hit the screen and delve about in menus to find out the issue!
Is this just available with the XL and with the x20's at the moment? Is this feature already available in the normal One devices?
I guess that it might make its way to other devices as part of the Navcore 7 update but it would be good to know what people think of this enhancement and whether in practice, it's as good as it seems?
Thanks

The bar and icons are showing the status of TomTom Traffic, the One XL, x10 and newer x20 devices can all use either the RDS-TMC receiver or the subscription GPRS connection via the mobile phone to get this traffic info.
For a PDA you are restricted to just using the subscription Traffic package which also required your mobile phone to provide internet access via its GPRS connection. It will work on your version 6 software though, have a llok Here for some additional information, if you do decide to get this plus service please make sure your mobile phone can work with the PDA, and your phone has a compatible internet service (not all do) - Mike |

Thanks Mike,
Sorry if I didn't make myself clear. I currently have TT v6 running on my PDA and I have subscribed to the Traffic service. What I was attempting to highlight was the (apparent?) improved layout/implementation of the Traffic bar on the promotional pack shots I have seen for the One XL and x20 series.
On my PDA, I see an incident and under it I see a red bar indicating the time impact. If I want to find out any more then I need to press the bar and show the details.
The new layout looks like it attemts to tell you on the bar how long (in minutes) you are away from the incident and the expected delay that the incident causes. On the face of it this seems to be a good improvement.
I was interested to see if anyone with experience of the new Traffic service could suggest whether this is a useful addition (or not) to the functionality I have available in TT6, and if anyone in the know could suggest whether we are all likely to see this improvement ported as Navcore 7 is ditributed to the other TT PND's and (hopefully?) the PDA implementation in the not too distant future.
Thanks again
