Hi,
Does anyone know what file your favourites are saved in? And can the file be eddited?
If its possible to edit the file I was going to add it to the relative POI files and submit it to the forum.
Ta in advance

It is the .cfg file in the Map Folder.
I believe you have an 'older' map version, in which case it will have the same name as the Map Folder.
In the later versions it is called MapSettings.cfg
It can be opened with POIEdit 2007, but that may not be much help to you.
You could delete the unwanted entries and save the result as an OV2 File, or you could convert them to a new POI using the Device itself.
I extracted the following from a previous Topic.
Andy_P2002 wrote: | Its a manual process so depending how many favourites you have, it will take a little bit of time.
1 ) First, create a new POI category (Preferences / Manage POI / Add POI category ). Call it "Favs" or whatever you like.
2 ) Then go Preferences / Manage POI / Add POI / Favourite / and select your first favourite.
3 ) Repeat step 2 for each of you favourites.
The POI file will be found in your map folder, called "Favs.ov2" (if that's what you called it). Just copy that file (and its matching .bmp icon file) to your friends machine's map folder and enable it in the manage POI menu. |

Thank you very much for answering my question for me.
I'll now upload a couple of updates I have from my favourites to the forum POI's.
