I have read a lot about Sandisk cards causing problems so I thought I'd let everyone know that I have 2 Sandisk Ultra II cards (256mb and 512mb) and they work brilliantly. Very fast to read maps and make route calculations etc. Not 1 problem so far and I've been using it a lot with Destinator 3, Memory-Map, TT2. (I have an iPaq 4150 with Pretec Bluetooth GPS). |

Out of interest, are these marked as being made in China, Japan or elsewhere? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Do you mind telling me where you bought them from? I have seen them on ebay but I am pretty cautious about buying from there.

Are we talking about CF cards might as well go for Kingston as they seen to be about the same price and are not from china, also at ebuyer. |

Made in China.
I bought them from Ebay and it was shipped from the US. Completely pain free experience. It arrived on my desk 4 days later. |

So what is the problem with these cards as I have bought one through e-bay 256mb with China on them. Are they likely to slow down the TT programme |

Sandisk branded cards manufactured in China suffer a disproportionate number of problems compared with other brands. Symptopms such as system hang-ups, slow searches of maps on the card, loss of data etc.
Other SD cards labelled as 'Made in China' have had some issues to.
If you search for 'Sandisk' on our forums you will see what I mean!
You may well have none of these problems but for future purchases our advice is not to buy any that are labelled as having being made in China or PRC (Peoples Republic of China). _________________ Darren Griffin |
