|
|
Hello,
not sure if this is the correct forum but I do refer to TTN.
There are many overlay files with POIs but they do not include a bitmap (.bmp extension) with an associated icon. This means that the POIs cannot be displayed.
Are there and I am sure there must be some standard bitmapped icons that can be downloaded and associtated with the ov2 POI files?
I know I can create an icon and save it with the same name as the ov2 file but being a lazy sod thought that this task may already have been performed by others in the past.
Cheers,

Hi DV,
Could you give us examples of the POIs without a bitmap? As all of the POIs that I’ve downloaded from this website have had the correct .OV2 and .BMP files.

Hi Robert,
Great thanks for your help I have now sussed it!
I originally got the POIs from the poihandler site and they came without icons.
I also brought down a few .ov2's from this site using POI Edit. However once I read your note I had a play and discovered that I must also run autoupdate in POI Edit which then brings down the .bmp and .inf files as well.
Cheers,

Hi Robert again,
However more playing and I have POIs such as Burger_King.ov2 and Themepark.ov2 plus Busstops.ov2 and castle.ov2. These overlays are not available on this site

Hi DV,
Bo Peep is currently producing a Burger King POI of all the BK “restaurants” in the UK. This will take some time, as there’re over 650 of them! 8-O
Please see this thread for more information.
