|
|
Hi
I'm having trouble on the POI download page. The POI categories are not loading, and an error is reported in Bs_TreeElement.class.js on line 132, saying missing ; on previous line.
I've tried this in IE6, Firefox 2 and Opera, with the same results in each. |

same here I'm afraid
3. Select POIs (date of last update : number of POIs)
4. How should the files be created?
nothing selectable for 3. |

Not seen the error message from neil before but have to agree with spannersatcx - tonight there seems to be a problem...
As per instructions:
1. select TomTom
2. Select UK and hit "refresh"
3. It says "Loading POI categories..." but then browser says "done" in the status bar and no POI list has loaded.
(I've never had a problem before, tried Firefox, IE Tab and IE itself) |

What I've never understood is how things like this on websites "break".
I mean, it's not as if a bit of code can wear out is it?
Unless of course... those who know how to fix these things only know how to fix them because they know what they did to break them in the first place! |

it was a dodgy character in a new poi sub-category that caused the 'tree' to fail to load

Sorry but this is not working this morning; I've been waiting 10 mins for the database to load.
No errors or anything. Tried it several times.

A quick test shows that its something to do with the order, you login, go to the download page and perhaps even the cookies.
I'd used a favourite to go straight to the download page, it did not work and realised I was not logged in, I logged in and went to the download page, it still did not work.
But if you open the browser, login and go to the download page it seems OK.

...and I've just sucessfully downloaded a cobined ATM file using the show link option.
I opened the zip and extracted the two files.
I selected the 'Make another selection' and was returned to the POI download page, where once again the database dows not load.

Does a Refresh do any good? _________________ Richard

I too have run into a number of problems with the POI database, similar to/same as those above. I'm using a variety of OSs (Mac, Linux, WinXP) and browsers, but the problems seem to be quite widespread. I've definitely had the problem of the POI list not appearing, refresh or not, but I can't work out what makes it successful or fail! Then I've run into the limit on my TT1 of POIs if I download as separate sub-categories (they're on the SD card but won't display). Trying to combine the sub-categories results in being asked to download a file called 'modules.php' (Mac/FireFox) or being led to a null page (XP/IE7); this latter problem even if I tick to show link. So no joy there. Any clue as to what I'm doing wrong?
It's a real shame, because I'd trust the PGPSW POIs to be both accurate and complete. _________________ TT GO app on Android Phone
