Have tried to d/l promotion offer using Home[both versions].
V1 freezes computer[XPsp2], V2 cannot find d/loads. Processor runs at 100%, sign on hangs on communicating with tomtom.com.
I've had to switch off at mains to reset.
Can I back up without home? TT1 system is Fat 32 I believe. Downloaded from Tomtom site V1 and no change:?: |

If you are looking to backup the TomTom device without using Home then this is possible, in the TomTom One, Rider, Go forum index (this forum) is a sticky near the top of the first page called FAQ's you will find instructions on how to perform the important backup using Windows Explorer.
You will need to sort out the TomTom home issues though in order to upgrade the device when new software is made available, for a first try I would disable your firewall while trying the Home appliation, but do the backup using Windows first.
Welcome to the forum by the way - Mike |

I have just downloaded the Home version 2 and as far as I can tell it is working perfectly at the moment with my TomTom 710
Perhaps time will tell

Sorry for the late reply. Ntl/Virgin probs.
Have tried disabling firewall to no effect. I still have proccesor running at 100% and Task Manager fails to stop Home running, this results in computer freezing and I have a hard reseset.
Any help on what is causing this problem. |

Hi one and all.
After much googling etc. I at last found the answer. Kerio firewall was causing the problem! Even stopping Kerio did not stop XP freezing up.
Solution was to remove Kerio. I then installed Comodo firewall and Lo and behold, Home is up and running.
May be this post should be under Kerio rather than Home etc. as the problem's with Kerio not Home.
