Anyone know of anyway to make the volume louder on the F20. Even when plugged into the power supply (which does increase the volume) its still so quiet. Nothing like my old garmin. Anyone got any ideas

Excuse me if this isn't the case but doesn't the F series have it's volume buttons on the right hand side of the device.

If of course you have used these buttons and the device is still not loud enough for you then the answer is a limited no. There have been a few attempts to play with the audio files on the Navman range but nothing conclusive or user freindly. At best I would suggest turning the radio down a little more. Wink

Edit:- On older navmans the volume controls were buried in the settings somewhere.

The manual certainly agrees with you on this one.

I have used the volume controls and it is full volume. The mans voice is slightly louder than the woman but still pretty poor. I take your point about turning the radio down a little but it needs to be off completely to be able to hear this thing properly meaning a pretty damn boring long journey

This is obviously difficult for us to diognose properly here but if you think it is that bad, then the unit may be faulty. The only way to check that would be to compare it with another in the shop where you bought it.

If bought online, consider sending it back! Sad

My navman is plenty loud enough, and can stop a conversation when she begins to bark! Smile

i recently acquired a F20 europe plus T1--- I had 510s and 520s previously-- i find the F20 female voice to be plenty loud enough, and certainly louder than on the 510/520, which i struggled to hear over road/engine noise WITHOUT the radio on.
