Hello everyone, this is my first post and never having owned a sat-nav before and going on holiday in a weeks time and needing something more reliable than the wife to give directions, i'm hoping someone could help me and come up with the ideal sat -nav.I'm looking to spend around £150,have looked at the mio C510e at Pentagongps for this price(euro maps not essential though) is there a better deal out there? would appreciate any help.Thanks.

I would suggest a Tom Tom One UK. You will get these for about £150 in shops and online. They do the job but dont have all the fancy extras that you really dont need. Easy to use and give good clear directions. Just back from a trip from Glasgow to London to visit my sister - 400 miles each way. Tom Tom was used all the way and was first class. Had the speed camera database installed from GPSWorld and it was ideal for all the cameras south of the border. If you want to spend a bit more then you could go for a Tom Tom One XL, circa £180-£200 This, I think, has the same functionality but with a bigger screen. But all in all I am very happy with my TT One which I have used almost every day since March this year with no problems at all.

themio units speed cameras will be directional and will also allow you to fine tune your route by adding waypoints. the mio will support more than one way point where as the ttone will only give you one waypoint unless you create an itinerary the igo mapsive found have more detail than tomtoms

have a look at the mio200 for 130 from totalpda/gps link below

See if your local Lidl has any Silver Crest 4200's; recently on offer

Would be in Managers office if some left.

£149.99 incl full Euro Maps.
