Following instruction I unzipped file, but do you copy all the .txt files across to device including "Licence " + "Release" ones too??
And is anything done with the camera images; do they go in too?

You just need the data files (csv, ov2 etc depending upon what data type is correct for your device) and bmp files, you do not need the help or release/ licence txt on the nav unit - Mike |

And when you update next time, you can leave the .bmp pictures as they don't change.
Just copy the new csv or ov2 files into the same place and say "Yes" when windows asks if you want to overwrite the files that have the same name. |

Thanks all.
Maybe the instructions page instead of saying copy all .txt files, should have a rider,
excluding 2 that I mentioned.
May assist other newbies _________________ Gel

I think it is actually better for newbies to be told
"4. Copy the extracted .txt files to this folder"
rather than
"4. Copy the extracted pocketgps_uk_pmobile.txt and pocketgps_uk_sc.txt files to this folder. (You can ignore the Licence.txt and release.txt files.)".
But you're right, the Licence.txt and release.txt files are not required to be copied over.
As regards the peasemore wrote: | And is anything done with the camera images; do they go in too? | I'm not familiar with MyGuide. Without copying the BMPs over, do you get a camera icon displayed? If not, do you get an icon displayed once you've copied over the BMPs?
If you can post back, one of the team can update the Instructions. _________________ Jock

Can't say as I copied txt and bmp's across all at once.
I did add a local camera manually before adding the database, and
that produced a speed camera icon on map. _________________ Gel
