My 720 fell off the glass every time after the first day, but maybe I was fitting it wrong?
I have ordered the Brodit mount for the 720 so I can fit it elsewhere. |
Have you tried the spray you use to clean the dashboard and the other plastics in the car? I have used RAM glass suction cups and after using this spray on the rubber cup first they stick like glue to the window.

Got my 720 from dixons yesterday (at last!). Must say im very impressed with the build quality of the unit. Just a quick question - I have instructions played over the internal speaker and music via FM (which sounds superb). Is there anyway to stop the unit pausing for the instructions? |

It would be nice if there was an option to lower the music volume rather than silence it completely when listening to instructions. If I were listening to a CD and had the instructions via the internal speaker I could keep listening to my music. |

So ladies and gents, I’ve been watching this thread avidly to see from your comments if I need to retire my old reliable GO500 and get a 720. The simple answer is yes, yes, yes. But…………………. now there seems to be talk/rumour that a 920 will be on the way and a possible announcement at the end of August.
What do I do?? Get a 720 or wait and see if a 920 will be a possibility
The places I saw the info are

http://www.clieuk.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=12825
(I can’t remember where I saw the end of August announcement) |

Oh I forgot to mention, I have a Sony Ericsson P990 and the mobile features work with the 720 - bluetooth calling, text messaging & data. |

Had a quick look at my daughters new 720 today, she only let me have a quick look, first surprise is if anybody,s expecting updated v7 maps then dont, one local incorrect road name reported 4-5 time since ttn5 still exists and one location still incorrect as is v675 although correct in v660 athough again reported 4 times. |

Lucky you!
I first contacted them on Monday 9am and by Thursday 6:30pm after talking to my forth customer services person and resending the Fax three times (they said it was having problems), I finally got one who managed to send an email. I still wasn't allowed to reply to it directly, BUT gave a link to "My questions" on my account page on the TT website. That had a reply box and a way to add scanned files.
She did say that she still wouldn't be able to deal with it herself, but would have to pass it up to the 2nd level.
So, after a week of ownership, still no registration possible before I go on holiday tomorrow. Lucky I didn't want to register for their speed cameras or Traffic trials, like a NEW customer might have done!
Pathetic... |

A few questions on the 720:
1) Is it ok interfacing with vista knowing the incompatabilities with Activsync.
2) Can it use the third party ogg voice files ok.
3) Can it use the speed camera ogg files and the Pgpsw Camera files without losing any functionality.
Its going to be quite a few days before I can get out of daughters hands before I can have a look, but would apreciate any info prior. |
