I am thinking about getting the 720.

I have a question though.
I currently use my Parrot blue tooth hands free for my phone calls so will have no use for the Tom Tom Hands free.
I would though be interested in Traffic.

Am i able to connect to more than one device i.e the Tom Tom and the Parrot ??

Thx

Paul

I don't know the exact answer to your question but there is definitely an option on the 720 to link to external bluetooth speakers. When you pair a BT phone with the 720 you have check boxes for:

- Use 720 for handsfree calls
- Use 720 for Data Connection (NOT exact wording)

I have tried putting option 1 ON and option 2 OFF, but not the other way round. I am guessing it would work okay in which case you connect 720 to Phone for data only and Phone to Parrot for handsfree

HOWEVER, I deinstalled my Parrot LS3400 kit as it was useless - always disconnecting, loads of audio problems etc, wheras the handsfree on the 720 seems to work remarkably well! Parrot's support answers to my queries were "pay for an auto electrician to look at it" so I gave up on that one!

Hope this info helps.

Thx for your reply

Traffic is not a major issue even if this does not work as i believe traffic is not very good anyway.

Regarding your Parrot, that is bad support although i have no such problems with my 3200.

Have you tried upgrading the software ?

You should be OK having your phone Bluetooth paired to your Parrot kit for handsfree calls and to the 720 for data over GPRS - if you do have problems check for a Bluetooth power saving option on your phone - mine has this and when enabled the phone can only maintain one Bluetooth connection at a time.

Traffic via the TMC modules in the UK is apparently poor but I believe the subscription service via GPRS gives quite good information Smile
