copy the cfg file from the old map folder to the new one (and rename if the maps are different) _________________ Lutz

not necessarily. the cfg file is named after the map folder name. If the new map has a different name then the cfg needs to be renamed accordingly. _________________ Lutz

It was called MapSettings.cfg for any Map under V6. _________________ Richard

First of all, before you go moving/coping/deleting anything go here and do a full windows explorer backup,(Number 1). Of BOTH Devices.
http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=50045
Then connect your TomTom ONE to the computer, go to "MY Computer", and the TomTom should be there as an external drive, double click on it and find the cfg file, right click it, and click on "Copy". Next disconect the TomTom ONE by clicking on the icon next to the clock, bottom right. Connect the 720, repeat to see whats on the 720, find the cfg file, (Note what its called), delete it, then right click where the folder was, and click on "Paste", the folder and its contents, will be copied to the 720, change the folder name if required,(Right click, Re-name). Disconnect 720 by clicking icon nect to clock again. If you mess anything up, this is why you need a FULL backup of both devices. _________________ Audi A3 Sline sat nav |
