Now look at this, it is repeatable !!!
When I do not have an SD card installed I get the following system information:
Code: | HOME info:
HOME Version: 1.6.020
Language: en_GB
Service discovery server sweet.tomtom.com requires no proxy
Connection state: logged in as "ME@ISP.COM"
Loaded device dll: 7.0.8280.1
|
And the virtual machine works, as the loaded device has something useful.
Cheers

Thanks for the advice, Mike. Glad it worked for you but, unfortunately, it didn't for me. After playing with it for a couple of hours, I finally sussed that I needed to take the SD card for it to work. Once I'd done that - no problems.
Seems that having an SD card in with only only music on (I've just got a MP3 folder and some files) give Home a real headache!
Regards,

Same here. I have to take the SD card out for the virtual machine to work. The fault has only developed today. The unit worked fine the last two days with the SD card, which contains about 20 MP3s and about 10 gallery pics.
Have even tried reset on 720.
Am going to try a top quality SD card tomorrow, if same fault then I'll call the Product Recall Police. |

Sorry for slight double posting reply, but this discussion seems to be running in about three places at once!
I've noticed that when you connect to the PC, a 720 (even without a card in the slot) is new seen as TWO drives, the internal flash and the external slot, and the slot is first alphabetically.
Maybe Home just looks for the first "drive" that has anything to do with TomToms and is only finding the slot? |
