Is anybody aware if you can get additional voices to replace the standard ones you can get?
I was speaking to a colleague at work who was saying there was a website where you could download files of celebrities voices for use in navigation.
Seems a bit hopeful that it would work for the likes of TomTom and Navman SmartST, though the next question would be, who would you want gioving you instructions!! |

TomTom already have a selection of alternate voices available for download here.
They're just standard .wav files so there is no reason why it couldn't be done, indeed you will notice that at the bottom of the list are some voice files created by Dutch and German users.
Personally I would like Vicki Michelle (from Allo Allo) to give me directions in her French accent but I suspect my wife may think differently! _________________ Darren Griffin |

My choice would be Kylie Minogue, though Joanna Lumley would also be up there! |
