Ok, I just checked the speedcam file I downloaded from this site and the zipped file contains two icons.
1 for mobile and 1 for fixed cameras plus the relevant txt files for positions.
The txt file gives coordinates of the camera and the icon shows the position on the map screen.

Apologies!
I just reread your message. you should have two icons. plus the two txt filesI have!! and I put them in the myguide speedcamera folder and it works great.
Oh and you have to select alerts in the myguide settings to enable the speedcameras. |

would it be beneficial for you lot to have a 'consolidated by type' download? i.e. so you can have different icons for each camera type? so you can distinguish between mobile, gatso, redlight etc or do you get some kind of guidance anyway? i know the format has camera type embedded in the data but not sure how igo uses it

Yes I'd find that useful.

Was just wondering, why there's a speed camera folder in the MyGuide 3100 unit, if it doesn't get shipped with locations?
Have installed the locations, and it seems to work brilliantly.
Also, how often is it worth getting updates for speed camera locations - once a month?
Cheers everyone. |

Obviously they don't offer as part of their package as yet; I've asked how often to update on another post, but haven't seen a response yet.
Once a month would seems sensible
When you zoom in on a location and see how many cameras we are monitored by,
it confirms how we're the most spied on drivers on the planet
Glad I don't drive an Impreza anymore. _________________ Gel

I think I have a problem with my 3100.. I do see the camera icons on the maps but I have no warning audible or pop up warning at all.. even when going slightly over the speed limit when approaching them.
Also I noticed someone mention they get countdowns as they get closer to the camera??
Can anyone assisit with this please? I got all the files from this website and the icons seem to work fine.
Thanks in advance,
Tim
Oh P.S Someone on the Ebuyer reviews mentioned that they had updated the maps from somewhere?? I couldn't find updated maps anywhere. |

Have you enabled in device settings.
On my 4200 model it's in options, and there's a pop up warning when you turn on, saying it's illegal in some countries.
Have you seen that warning
There are various options as to warning type eg approaching _________________ Gel

can you tell me what the 'setting' is called? so i can add this to the instructions?
also, could you confirm whether or not the bmp icons are needed or not?
thanks
