Try this site
http://www.scdb.info/en/plugin-igo/
PocketGPS surely you must be able to update your database for this unit. |

if it's a rebadged igo (seems to be from other comments) then just use the 'iGo 2006' or 'OnCourse Navigator 6' downloads
try them, and if they work i can make an official link for MyGuide

I have just purchased a Myguide 3100 and the current database for iGO seems to work OK.
I have only tested in fly over/demo mode which did not give audible warnings, however i have read that audible warnings are only sounded when actualy speeding on aproach to the cameras.
I will test it out tomorrow on the road.

Please let me know how you get on with it. Is it fairly easy to install the camera files? I have only had mine for a couple of days but it seams to be a nice piece of kit for the price.

Hi, Tony, the Igo software works a treat, in fact it gives better visual and audible warnings than TomTom. You get a visual warning that stays on the screen until you have gone past the markers on the road, and audible warnings that get faster as you approach the cameras. The only thing i have notices in one particular instance, a camera by me can get you in both directions, however the warning is in one direction only.
Many thanks for your help

Yep they seem spot on!
Also for importing/converting POI's use this app:

Works a treat. |

Hi Guys,
My Beloved Garmin i3 street pilot has just died on me
So im in the market for a new cheapish sat nav.
How please or displeased are you with the performance of this unit ?
any real negatives other than teething issues with POI's / Cam updates ?
any feedback would be great !
many thanks
Dale :D |

Hi, the 3100 i have is a brilliant unit, very fast at route calculations and off track re-routing. The interface is clear with a lot of options not even fount in TomTom or Garmin.
Basically the mapping software is Igo which is very reliable, and the safety cameras are easy to install and give a visual and audible warning right up to the camera. All in all i wouldn't change this unit as it does a lot more than more expensive units. One niggle unless anyone out there knows better, the Myguide support is non existent.
Please look at the link below and see reviews from other users.

I've just got from Lidl the Silvercrest which is a rebadged MyGuide 4200 for £150 smackers.
Even has a freephone no. to a German 0800 number/3 yaers guarantee.
Assume the advice on 3100 will apply on this model too _________________ Gel

Try resetting unit.
Also did you put the icon in the folder as well as the text file?
Mine shows in flyover mode , but the warning does not pop up until you are actually travelling about the limit, i.e., if you are travelling below the limit you just see the camera icon. If you are travelling above the limit a popup opens and you here a warning sound.
Ed
Ps I think its a brilliant unit for £99 |
