PC World Business are showing them in stock for same day dispatch - so with 24hr delivery option they should be arriving on Monday (and still under £300 inc).
I sure hope mine arrives on Monday - 6am Wednesday morning is the start of my 3,000 mile trip into/around France. _________________ iPAQ 2110

Has anyone with a 720 had problems with it losing it's settings?
Could this be a problem with the Read Only setting on the CFG File. That has been the problem previously.
Only a shot in the dark.
Yes it looses it setting and I think its due to a file being locked or set to read only. It started when my unit locked up, I reset the unit which then trigger the setup procesure to start, at the end of the setup a message is displayed in the top right hand corner saying ' Unable to store settings, file access error'. It also seems to take a long time to restart as a result of this problem, sometimes hangs requiring a reset.
I'm also seeing the same problem with the 'Help Me!' 'Drive to help' hospitals work correctly, but Doctors, Police, Pharmacy & Dentist all default to France.

Looking at the help me menu.
There are garages listed, not my usual one, but several fairly locally.
There are hospitals listed, not all have an A&E (Accident and Emergency) unit which would be I guess what would be required.
The nearest doctor is given as 195miles away (the name looks dutch).
The nearest police station look French, 138miles away.
The nearest pharmacy also looks French 137miles away.
The nearest dentist 195 miles away.
These were my findings on the help locations, not particulalry reliable, and this is one of the major selling points.
Cheers

Just received my 720 this morning, great,no problems.
I did have that file access error with a One XL I previously owned. To cure it I copied all files from the sd card to my pc,reformatted the sd card and then copied every thing back and it was cured,no probs after that.

Is the 720 limited to the 100 POI limit as my 510 was previously or has this been expanded at all?
Also, should we now change the forum description and add the 520/720 models to reflect the fact we are now discussing them?
Thanks

Did you collect from a store or was it delivered by DHL, if delivered by DHL when did it leave the depot? I ask as I am waiting for a delivery from Currys.
As for the speed cam files, if it's the separate ov2 files, Gatso, Mobile, Red Light etc they along with the bmp files all go in the folder that contains the map files. Mine go into one called the "Western_and_Central_Europe" yours will be something similar.

The ov2 and bmp files go in the Western_Europe folder, then configure the Change Preferences/ Manage POI/ Warn when near POI, probably the best guide to follow is the one written for the 910 as the 720 has text to speech, have a read of it Here - Mike

Any idea how i load these speed cameras
One of the easiest ways is to use the HOME application; download the speedcameras for HOME and put them into the TomTom/contents folder on your PC (I'm making assumptions). Then in the HOME application pick the middle tab at the top so that it looks in "all sources" and by magic when in the install view a speed camera item should appear. Select this and "install", you will be asked which map it needs to be added to.
You can then go onto the 720 and in "managing POIs" select warn when near and choose how the unit should tell you there is a camera there.
Hope this helps, go to the camera database page to get infinitely more detailed instructions. _________________ TT720 V8.010, regular audio book user.
