I'm finding that the post started by 'Ninja21' called 'Tom Tom One XL' won't open. My browser just sits there saying "waiting for PGPSW...".
Every other topic opens fine. |

Opened for me, although it did seem to take a little longer than other threads.
It was a question about 4GB SD cards in TT1XL and TTG710. |

I think the issue is his Avtar. It's coming from another site which is very slow at the moment. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Ahh, patience is a virtue...
Sorry to get excited about it. Delete this thread if you like, maybe a quick note to Ninja21 to say he won't get many replies? |

I've already PM'd him asking if he can remove until the site he's linking to returns to normal, thanks for the heads-up though, you can't be too careful! _________________ Darren Griffin |

As his avtar never loaded when I tried I didn't get to see it was animated. He's now pulled it anyway. _________________ Darren Griffin |

There appear to be several animated avatars used by PGPSW users, even Mike Alder's. Do they do any harm, or is it just that the take longer to download in pages ? _________________ Tommo...

Mine is a standard Avatar as offered by this site - I couldn't be bothered to create a more unique one to be honest, the problem ones tend to contain video clips (a certain motorbike power sliding has been recently seen) - these cause the problems when the site hosting them has a speed issue - Mike |

The intention was to prohibit animated avtars loaded from other sites as they comnsume more bandwidth and place an additional load.
The animated avtars available to users from our own gallery are OK as they are both small files and loaded from the local server. I've edited the forum rules to clarify this point which I hadn't considered before. _________________ Darren Griffin |
