mio transfer hack c250

I have downloaded this prog and tried everything to get it to work but to no avail. That includes putting the prog + required dll into a new file then clicking run, but still says required dll can not be found etc etc.
All I am trying to do is put the english female voice on,I have even been out and bought an SD card and reader and put the voice file on it put it into the c250 then done a soft and hard reset and still no joy.So my question is can somebody tell me in total easy basic words how to do it,"PLEASE" before I get my old i3 out of retirment. Confused

which version of Windows are you using?

what is the name of the dll file it can't find?

Hi, I am running windows xp sp2, the required file according to posts on this subject is mut.dll I have opened a new file and put the hack and dll files in to it the tried to run but it comes up with a box stating cannot open, a dll file is missing. Thanks Bazelk

Curious, this seems to work for most people.

If it was me, I'd put a copy of the dll file onto CD or on the desktop (somewhere really easy to find) and 'browse' or whatever the option is (it's been a little while since I've had this dll problem so I'm working from memory) and tell the computer where the dll file is so that you might be able to manually install that missing dll file

I have just ran this prog+ dll on my other comp and it has bought the interface screen up, so I am part way there as it will not recognise my c250, I have made sure that the other transfer prog is closed down.Any suggestions? Why do mio insist on locking there units?.All I want to do is put a voice on to it instead of there annoying ones.

Bazelk- are you using the correct Mio_transfer_hack?

There are two versions, - one for the CX10 and a unique one for the C250.

If you have the original Mio transfer working, just replace the exe with the new one at the same location. (Backup the old one of course)

Hi. Sorry for the delay in the reply(been on a big hols)anyway just to let all know got it working and have now got extra voices on the mio c250,inc a south african guy, an asian woman and 3 english women,Rachel,Elizabeth,Phillipa.(The latter is so funny when she says roundabout) whilst these are ok, does anyone know of any celeb voices for the mio.
Why is everthing(celeb voices wise) geared up for tom tom when mio is clearly far superior
