In the past I have quite enjoyed the competition questions here as they require a little searching on the internet to find! That and a little study is alway good for the soul. But where in Homers name did this months question come from? Even DennisN won't have any probs with this one!
This new found commercialism that PGPSW now enploys might have gone a little too far this time, as I almost expected to see a premium rate number to call to submit my entry! _________________ Dom

The question may be simple for many of you but there are also a great many for which the answer may be far from obvious.
Were we charging £1/min to enter then complaints about making the question too simple may be justified but as we're not I don't see the problem, all that changes is that more people may enter and be in with a chance of winning.
Of course it could be argued that with more entrants the chances of winning may be less but it doesn't mean more cash for us! _________________ Darren Griffin |

Ah yes, but last month's competition was a trick question, which didn't contain the correct answer until after I'd contacted the powers that be and got the question corrected...funny thing is, I still didn't win - even with all those other members obviously submitting the wrong answer.
Let's just see the competition as a little bit of fun from which you might win something - otherwise, it's like the forum where the majority of topics aren't relevant to everybody but we make use of the ones which are appropriate to our needs. We should be grateful to the team members for their efforts in continuing the quiz and maintaining a supply of prizes.
If people only submitted speed camera details when they were going to qualify for free membership, the database would soon fall apart...it's not the winning, it's the taking part which should appeal to members _________________ Andy

Cobblers to "taking part" appeal. Damned good job they DON'T put out a 09 number or I'd have them up before whatever it is you have people up before for not giving me a prize.
And as for Superman's little dig - Yes, I have looked it up and firmly believe I found the correct answer, but I'm not saying where, so I'll WIN, WIN, WIN. The less people who enter this month, the better, say I. _________________ Dennis

'Ere, where did SuperDom get lifetime subs from? Last time I heard, he was desperately trying to find cameras in Andorra or Lichtenstein or somewhere equally unlikely, to try and fiddle lifetime subs out of you. Free lifetime subs, now two shiny somethings, what next? (No don't tell me, I'll only get depressed). _________________ Dennis

I would tell you but since you don't want to know... Plus I've still got a few slices of humble pie left...
Hang on! What started as a humourously cleaver rambling observation about an ever so slightly easy free prize draw question has now been rotated, around about to moaning, groaning, attitude inspired, complaint. not to meantion incured depessive state in some. Did I miss a post or did someone delete it!!!
I'm not complaining, oh and thanks for the life membership now that the cats out of the bag! _________________ Dom

Yes, well I want to know why I didn't win last month when I had to tell the team that the correct answer wasn't listed
I'll have to take this to the European Court of Human Rights...I don't know why, but that just seems to be what everybody else does all the time
I haven't got my free subscription yet either - so that must be a case of discrimination
It can't be easy coming up with these questions and prizes month after month, so keep up the good work team.
Would it be worth suggesting that the team allow members to submit questions for these competitions? Or would this be too complicated bearing in mind that it would be difficult to police a member entering a competition with a question they provided? _________________ Andy

Far too difficult to police if those eligible to enter are permitted to submit questions.
Much better if we cock it up all by ourselves _________________ Darren Griffin |

Much better if we cock it up all by ourselves | Look, there's a simple solution to that. Give me the GO720 from this month's competition and I'll make it my lifetime's occupation to provide you with new competition questions for the foreseeable future (even though at my age, that's not very long), together with an assurance that I'll not enter any of them (unless you get some more nice kit for prizes). :D
Here's a tempting example ...
Which mammal doesn't have a voice box? This is NOT multiple choice. You have to get the answer by asking your kids "What does a xxx say?", until you come up with something that doesn't say anything. (I hope this hasn't spoilt the competition for next month). _________________ Dennis

Which animal has the most neck bones, a mouse or a giraffe??
What licence do Californians need before they can trap mice?
A tad taxing, but probably a little too far off topic

This would depend very much upon your definition of "something that doesn't say anything" because many animals without vocal chords use other body parts to communicate - crickets use their legs, bees 'dance'...is this speaking or communicating??
Jellyfish
Octopus
Centipede
It's good to see that our favourite white van man is keeping his brain so active
Now I'm waiting for the next question Dennis _________________ Andy
