It depends what Navigation Software you are running on it.

If it is TomTom then the OV2 POIs will work on it.

its not Oldboy Crying or Very sad

its gpx file format....anyone able to explain how to create a gpx poi or suggest an app which works.

When I bought the N95 they advertised that you could load 100's of poi....I assumed you could create your own unique poi aswell.

Creating poi in gpi, kml,csv,ov2 is somethign I can do...they just don't work on the N95 only gpx...please correct me if Im wrong

And I thought the TomTom website was bad!

Following the link to Navteq.com and delving about, I eventually get to a list of "In-vehicle", "After-market In-vehicle" and "Personal Device"
Following "Portable Device" only gives me links to
Quote:
Dell Map Updates
www.navigation.com/dellupdate
Landrover
www.navigation.com/landrover
Lexus
www.lexus-mapupdates.eu
Toyota
www.toyota-mapupdates.eu
Opel
www.opel.de

Digging around the site further, only comes up with repeated quotes like "NAVTEQ digital map data drives most of the in-vehicle navigation systems sold in the U.S. and Europe." No mention of any actual Navteq software. Are you sure it's not just Navteq mapping running on some other navigation software?

I've heard of it...
There's only one mention of it on here that I can find http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=48688 (but the post got no answers Sad )

It certainly looks like it can support POIs (have a look HERE)
but it doesn't mention whether you can add your own or if it is only ones that they provide.
If we knew what format they were in it would help...

Try a Google search for "poi gpx" - loads of hits!
It seems the Garmin POI loader understands gpx format, and I saw mention of another converter utility.
