Have just purchased a Nuvi 250 after using a pda with tomtom 5 and am suitably impressed with the quality. The only thing I am not happy with is the speed camera already loaded after using the pgps one on the pda.I have read that I use the POI loader to transfer the files but am a bit confused seeing that this wipes out all POI's (hotels etc etc) or does it just get rid of the already installed speed database.Any advice in simple terms(getting on a bit) would be appreciated. |

POI Loader will not delete the built in Garmin camera database, nor will it delete the built in Garmin POIs (hotels etc.). It will, however, delete any POIs you have loaded via POI Loader. You need to put all POIs you want to load in a single directory, and use that directory each time, else you will overwrite your previously loaded POIs. _________________ Please don't be offended if I do not reply to a PM - please ask questions via the forums. |

No - there's a menu item Settings / Proximity Points / Alerts: Change where you can deselect the Garmin Safety Cameras, and that will stop it alerting, without you needing to delete it. _________________ Please don't be offended if I do not reply to a PM - please ask questions via the forums. |
