red square

sorry if im thick or its allready in the forum somwhere but:
i have downloaded the prisons poi and asociated .bmp into my sd card..maps folder. the poi appears and bleeps but i get a red square instead of the crown.
any ideas?

Welcome to the forum, this is most often caused by the bmp file name not exactly matching its coresponding ov2 file.
If they do match make sure the bmp file doesn't have a double bmp.bmp extension, this would only be the case if you have re-named the POI file prior to installation.
I suggest you download the file again and re-install it - Mike

ok. tried that...made no difference

Many thanks for pointing out this issue, I have just installed the prison POI and have the same problem as you have found the same problem, the issue is the icon is the wrong size 28x28 TomTom requires an icon 22x22.
Once re-sized the image shows up correctly, I will e-mail the bmp file to you and notify the POI team on the site of the error so corrective action can be taken - Mike

No probem - at least we are now aware of the issue. I have e-mailed the re-sized icon which I can confirm works once installed (simply copy it to the map folder and answer Yes when prompted to over write existing file - Mike

yep.....even i got it to work....i can also verify the acuracy of at least 2 of the prisons
