How best to keep it on the dash

Hi All,

Whats the best way to keep the clip on on your dash when driving.

My last gps had a magnet with a disc stuck on the dash.

Any good ideas welcome.

Super Glue - Hey, it's a good suggestion!

The Fortuna should be okay, it certainly sticks to my dash, but it depends on the texture of it and how quickly you take corners and roundabouts.

My van dash is a bit dusty and slopes to the screen, suppose I could clean it!!!! :D :D

I've got a sunroof in my car with one of those slideable sun screens. The gps jams nicely between the glass and the screen and gets at least 7 satellites all the time (that I've noticed), it simply can't move either Smile

Yes, but not many vans have sunroofs.

However I got over the problem.

Put Clip in the nice little plastic holder supplied, cut off the belt clip part and stuck a piece of magnetic tape to it.

With a small round metal disk stuck on the dusty dash, the clip now says put, even when driving around on site, bumping all over the shot.

Also to add, I have had the Clip for about 2wks now and found it great with no problems.

One niggle, if trying to plan a journey indoors, how do you stop the bluetooth connection keep asking to connect.

I have a windscreen suction mount and just attach the clip-on to the flexible shaft near the windscreen.

Personally for me, a small blob of BluTac does the trick, and still allows easy and quick removal and refitting

I use a non stick mat (got from Halfords) works great for my Volvo V70 D5, plus wife’s Renault Scenic and Peugeot 406. Clipon does look as if it will role over when cornering but it does hold firm. I bought the full matt (£3-4) and cut a piece an inch or so bigger than the unit, sticks like s**t to the blanket.
