British National Grid.

Any budding programers out there willing to help me. I have a Tom Tom BT with Navigator Two.

I am looking for either 3rd Party Software or an addon that will enable me to view my Current position using the Britsh National Grid System, instead of Lat Long.

Anyone know of anything?

Do you actually need the OS grid reference in real time, or is it just to find this out when you're back at a computer ?

I would dearly like this facility on TT as well.
However, when back home I do a search on
http://www.streetmap.co.uk/
and use the conversion facility below the map.
I also use my old Garmin 12xl by inputting a wayoint in one format, changing the format, and re-viewing the waypoint - it seems long winded, but is actually quite fast with practise.
There is also

to convert OS to lat/long
but I can't find a program anywhere to do lat/long to OS, anyone out there help at all?
Anyone fancy writing one for Mobile 2003?

Waypoint Workbench is a good tool on the PC for converting lat/longs between various formats.

This is something I would prefer in realtime. i do alot of work with the military on the training areas. They use BNG format, so when Im suporting them I have to find them in the dark in the middle of an unlit training area.

6 Figure Grids are sufficiant accuracy.

I can do this. I am already incorporating the code to convert OS codes to lat/long into ukpostcode, and I've got the code to convert the other way.

I can feel a TTN "swiss army knife" application coming on...

This would be very useful to me too. National Trust properties are always given their location in the guide book by National Grid reference.
